Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting many old and new faces of an awesome team on Etsy, the Alberta Street Team. It was fun to match up the avatars that I’m so use to seeing with the real faces behind all of the handmade items I’ve seen for the past 2 years.
This was the first live team sale meet up in Edmonton (at least to my knowledge). It brought sellers together from all over Alberta, all into one place. How delightful it was to be able to walk around the room and see and touch all the amazing work of 30 online artists.
The show was only possible because of team work:
- helping to advertise – postering Whyte, online media and handing out flyers at the farmers market (among many other initiatives)
- setup and take down of the room
- many organizational aspects
I’d like to thank the 30 team members who put the trust in me to organize this event and hope that their experience was a positive one

The shoppers and sellers were also treated to a few hours of musical entertainment by local musicians. Arwen on violin, Amanda on violin & piano and Captial Sax. Thank-you SO much for sharing your musical talents! ♥
All in all, it was a fantastic day to celebrate the art of handmade and an excellent way to see many amazing Etsy shops in person.
I thank everyone who came out, especially the family and friends who are always so supportive of whatever we do. ♥
